Home Run Hit by Our Volunteers and the Dayton Dragons Baseball Team

The Electric Vehicle Association of Ohio members were proud to organize the fifth annual EV Me Out to the Ballgame at Day Air Ballpark on Saturday, June 27.

In the midst of a cloudy day, 8,000 baseball fans watched the West Michigan Whitecaps surgically win a double-header over our Dayton Dragons, who are the champions of the Midwest League East Division for the first half of the minor league season.

Before the game, 28 EVs congregated on the Don Crawford Plaza outside the ballpark. This was our first year offering EV rides in which participants were chauffeured along a route skirting the ballpark. We had 30 EV rides given by our members and the passengers received a $5 Dragons Bucks coupon to spend inside the ballpark.

Thank you to the Sustainable Ohio Public Energy Council (SOPEC) for their second year of sponsoring the event, White Allen European Auto Group and Jeff Schmitt Auto Group, along with all the EV participants who brought EVs from the Dayton, Cincinnati and Cleveland regions. We appreciate your support.

EV Me Out to the Ballgame proves again that there is growing interest in EV. And ... Go Dragons!
