You Are the Catalyst to Change the Way We All Drive

by Rap Hankins | Oct 15, 2026

If you’re curious about electric vehicles—or already driving one—you are part of something bigger than you may realize.

Our years of experience at the Electric Vehicle Association of Ohio have taught us something important: the world is changing, and the momentum toward cleaner transportation is real—even when the headlines make it seem otherwise.

People care about clean air. They care about their health, their families, and their communities. They want to save money. And millions of people are willing to make choices that benefit both their neighbors and our climate while strengthening our economy.

Sometimes, though, it appears as if there is nothing we can do. There are powerful interests working to slow progress, weaken environmental protections, and spread misinformation about electric vehicles and our ability to make a difference.

We know better.

EVA of Ohio member have participated in more than 70 events, reaching more than a quarter-million people in 2026. And what we hear again and again is encouraging:

“I’m interested in electric vehicles.”
“I want to save money.”
“I care about clean air and the climate.”
“Give me the facts. I want to understand.”

That is where you come in.

We are looking for communities to visit, social clubs and civic organizations to speak with, and festivals, fairs, and parades where we can meet people face-to-face and share the truth about electric transportation.

If you share our optimism about what is possible, join us.

Come to one of our events. Invite us to your community or organization’s events. Become a member of EVA of Ohio and volunteer in your region. The world is watching and participating in positive change. For the first time, sales of gasoline vehicles are below 50% of global sales as sales of electric vehicles grow.

The transition is happening. You can help, because:

  • Every conversation matters.
  • Every person who learns the facts matters.
  • Every EV driver who shares their experience matters.
  • Every community that opens its doors to new ideas matters.

So don’t be discouraged by the noise.

Join the movement to improve improve transportation for all of us.
